I have noticed 2 things about the update (or maybe the second fact is old even if I just discovered it for myself)

1)

I am NEVER going into the "Nether", the "Slip" or "Hell" AGAIN!!!

I went into there and walked like 10 blocks away from the gate and *shriek* *poot* *BOOM* (want a cookie? guess that mob)

and then I find a lone pig man thing and kill it... Then in the distance multiple *ROARS*
I run to my spawn and get out alive... only to be in the night time (lucky me....)

2)

(This is after I come out at night time.)

I am nearing home and find some mobs near it so I decide to use my mob killing device and... I am being chased by 2 creepers (yeah... 2) near glass... and guess what I learned twice in about 10 seconds?

Creepers can climb... CLIMB ladders

Your house is too close to a PAIN FOREST and you aren't MANLY enough.

Hey wanna know something even more shit your pantsy? 20 blocks above the void you have to place 1 torch between every 4 blocks to keep monsters from spawning

The Void

I am NEVER going in to there as in close to the void I am ONLY building a house in there if I have enough Cobblestone (as long as they cant break Cobblestone.

I have now built a house there but f you were to walk into the entrance portal you would be walking into the house (built it around portal)

BUT I have yet to even dare test it being safe.

IF you smack the fireballs with the sword it goes flying in another direction. And Receptive, there is always the peaceful option.

Yeah but I need the enemies peaceful is for when I go mining.

I always have it on normal, I have also noticed that the mobs spawn more often in caves. Been thinking that I see dungeons all the time.

The zombie pigmen are inherently non-aggressive, actually. Leave them alone and they won't F__ mob your A__.

Also, dynamite doesn't scratch obsidian blocks ... which is useful if you want to make a safety shack in the Nether.

@Sebbern, the reason they spawn in cave is due to th new code that notch put in about spawning. The lower you are, the brighter it needs to be for them to spawn. So pretty much the have more room to spawn in.

@ Sebbern - I DID notice there are no longer a hundred nasty things on the horizon at night. The coder in me theorizes he drew a correlation between light intensity and chance to spawn that just backfired. I have no idea what he's actually doing with it, but I'd think raising the minimum light intensity with the old spawning rate would be fine. In any case ... I kinda miss the ridiculous numbers of mobs running around.
